St. Regis Hotel Resort
Deer Valley, UT, USA - 2009
This incredible hotel/resort is owned by Deer Crest Associates I, LLC and managed by Starwood’s St. Regis brand. The St. Regis Resort & Residences, Deer Crest, began construction in summer of 2005, and is projected to open for the winter season of 2008/2009. The funicular base will be adjacent to Deer Valley’s Snow Park Lodge and the main hotel and residences will be uphill in Roosevelt Gap on the Deer Hollow ski run. The Resort & Residences offers 26 private residences and 65 condominium suites. The St. Regis, Deer Crest, will contain amenities including a martini bar, an après ski bar, two pools, gift shop, fitness facility, main restaurant, meeting rooms and a 30,000-square-foot spa. ES2 completed the Structural Steel Detailing on the low and high roof as well as the stairs and handrails.

Hotel Indigo
Las Vegas, NV, USA
The Hotel Indigo project consists of the structural engineering of a four-story, 180 unit hotel with a freestanding porte-cochere and a 5,000 square foot, single-story stand alone restaurant structure. Comprising approximately 110,000 square feet under structure, the wood-framed hotel with prefabricated wood trusses and wood structural panel shear walls also required the design of a podium slab and support columns for the second level above the lobby, guest services area, and above the courtyard near the restaurant.

The three-story, 100 room hotel facility is constructed using wood stud bearing and shear walls. The roof structure is constructed out of prefabricated wood trusses.

Bakersfield, CA, USA
Holiday Inn in Bakersfield, California is a four-story, 120 unit hotel. Comprising approximately 69,051 square feet under structure, the building was designed with type V-1 hour construction. The hotel is built as a wood-framed structure with beams and columns to support the vertical loads and is laterally braced by a Seismic Solutions Quake Tie holdown system.
